Been building this over the last 2 months -a kit by CZ company Eduard who make some very nice stuff. AC is a one-off scheme in Slovak AF service.

Mounted the MiG on an acrylic 10mm rod drilled into a cheap picture frame with a screenie of Krymsk below!

Any similarity to a certain squad-skin is entirely down to piracy.

Yes indeed! Saves me from having to do yoga or what-ever -nothing quite as good as knocking up a model (Now that could be misunderstood...) to get you into a relaxed zone. These days -what with the web etc- I find doing research on your model of choice a great activity and inspiring too. Helps getting things right etc. :geek:

Been looking at you tube vids on plastic model kits.... A lot has changed in the past 15 odd years since I last done them.

Indeed Joey -since I started again a few years ago I find it hard to believe the difference in what I used to do and what now can be fairly easily achieved with simple and not expensive tools/paints etc. I am still amazed how much difference the 'weathering' step makes to a kit -just a matter of coating it in a clay wash and wiping it off to suite your tastes.

This looks AMAZING, Arch! The airfield is a nice touch. Too bad the kit didn't have AA missiles... or this an AW / SW loadout? ;)

Actually -it is armed with A2A stuff; RS-2US laser guided missiles from late 50's into the 70's. The kits gives you a good choice of A2A or A2G stuff appropriate to the AC.
