: Hotas Warthog stick. Dead. [FIXED]
: 159th_pappavis February 19, 2018, 04:35:12 PM
Not a real problem.
My stick died while i was flying. Started to do crazy things.. when i push left or down, it would "push" all buttons simulataneously.
I've then tried flashing a the bootloader which fails. Lotsa ppl wrote about it.

alas, i guess.. I wont be flying. Not soon.

similiar to this --> https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=61569&page=4

Paps ... sounds like you have a short. From the sound of it the ribbon that runs from the base to the grip has become exposed where it feeds into the main column. Its a know point where wire trapping occurs ... easy enough to fix ... some good vids on-line.

Agree, definitely a damaged cable causing a short. Had this a few times.  ;)

I saw lotsa talk about htis, or simliar topics.
Also, i tried the bootlaoder-thin.. now it wont reinstall the bootloader.  grrrrrrrr Now its raelly broken.
I've tried on 5x computers to reinstall bootloader. It 'fails' the check. Now the jyatick is really screwed.

I've seen sum youtibe vids on fizes. guess will ha ve to operate on my stick.

My warthog joystick is FIXED
I contacted TM Support, they sent me a PDF disassamebly guide.

The problem was 100% same as this -->  https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2679381&postcount=21
3x wires broken: orange, yellow and brown.

SOLUTION;
 * At the bottom of the Joystick, unscrew the 4x screws.
 * A small PCB is expoised, remove the lefthandconnector
 * unscrew the DIN-connector
 * Push the removed white connector up into the base so it pushes the DIN upwards out of its place.
 * Now your exposed the wiring.
 * Get the soldering iron and some solder.
 * Resolder the broken wires.
 * Test.. using the Firmware Uploader

Literally.. within 5 minutes it was fixed.
SHAME!!! on thrustmaster such a fekking expensive stick and half-assed solderwork.  Geeezes. What about ppl who dont have soldering skills?? I mean then your screwed.
