Great aircraft -I read a book about the RN Buccs a while back, and the Bucc was so good at low level -being designed for it- that there was no fighter they ever encountered that could stay with it low-down. Didn't matter how fast your top speed or how many engines or power -the Bucc could stay low and fast and twist and turn better than any.

Our bucs did sterling work in Angola, late 1970's and 80s.  Never got the credits they deserved.  Looking at the SAAF 24 Squadron facebook page, the crews, pilots  are all beyond pensioner age. A few montha ago the last CO 24 Eskader passed away.
Extremele professional organization back then.

After disbandment many people 'defected' and served in US Airforce, Canada, Aus, New Zealend.. whats left of the SAAF today is typical Africa: stolen, rot, dysfunctional.
