: PC upgrade & need for Windows reinstall?

Does one need to reinstall Windows when changing mobo+ processor hardware?
Can I just plugin my current SSD c-drive & go from one mobo to the new one.. like with Ubuntu & Rapsberry Pi?

My current Windows install dates from Aug-2012.  Thus, exactly 7 years stable. Yes, 2x gfx cards changes happened etc.
I''ve put of upgrading, due to fear of need to reinstall apps, utils, whatnots after a bigass hardware upgrade.

I can’t imagine you would need to reinstall Windows. However, you may have to reactive the license and update drivers.

The same goes for any DCS modules that use the old Starforce activation method. That can be negated by deactivating them first so you do not lose a license.
