Dont ask me how but I managed to drop the nose of my harrier onto the tail of a herc and go completely hands off.... took some pics just in case there was any doubt in the mess....

Well, that's impressive, but other than fine elevator adjustments made externally or an emergency repaint job, I'm not really sure the nose-on-elevator surfaces trick is that valuable...
