Ah yes, well, IIRC we put that down to Mako thinking it was an old MiG-21 that cools the radar with alcohol. Easy thing to do round here.
The fact that this 'coolant' often gets drunk before landing is down to a hard-SOP which clearly states you must land with limited fuel and flammables...
