Been doing some more testing with the effect trees have upon masking/blocking objects; today, I have been mainly messing with explosive pallets. Flew a Hip cargo with an explosion (set at 1500 in menu, quite big) and dropped it off next to Granny Gravolovitches' bungalow just up the road. I retreated -not too far- 100m dist at 100m alt and waited.

When it went off, it scorched the trees, didn't break a window or even wake Granny Gravo up -but completely disintegrated me helo.

So, the squad's down 1 Hip but on the bright-side we haven't any Granny Hips to replace..

Upshot of all this is -of course- how well trees shield things. Not really realistic, but useful to know!
